Colorado’s Bicycle Lawyer

Colorado is a fantastic place to live…and ride.

Riding is a healthy and fun way to experience Colorado. Metropolitan Denver boasts one of the most comprehensive urban trail systems in the County. Other front range communities like Colorado Springs, Golden, Boulder, and Ft. Collins have fantastic roads and designated bike lanes that provide easy access to scenic rides. For the more hard core, riding the scenic byways and mountain passes is a joy not to be missed. Bicycling is also a great transportation choice for getting back and forth to work, school, and the store.

Regardless of where or why you ride a bicycle, it is legally considered a “vehicle” on Colorado’s roads. What does this mean? This means that a bike rider has the same rights and responsibilities as the driver of any type of vehicle on the road. Cyclist must obey traffic laws same as any driver and, like car drivers, can get a ticket for violating those laws.

The articles I have written, linked below, will help you to be a safer cyclist or if you have already become a victim of a careless or reckless driver, learn your rights and what you should do following an accident. I strongly urge you to read these articles and request my books before contacting any lawyer or speaking to the insurance company. You may not even need a lawyer.
